Postpartum Power Balls
There is one new mama that recently crossed the threshold as the first NATIVE matriarch in our Los Angeles circle. You read about the loving Village we created for her here. So it was only fitting that I ask her to share the incredible milk-flow staple that could be found in her fridge in the early days after bringing her perfect creation—Wallace—into the world.
Not only are these raw treats incredibly delectable, but they are packed with potency and benefits that serve everyone—especially new mothers. Meet the wisdom behind my favorite bohemian matriarch blog of all, Jamie Arrigo of Wallace and James. And get ready to drool over your new favorite super-easy-to-make raw treats.
J | I have been making raw chocolate and raw truffles for the past few years in an attempt to replace my super naughty sugar treats with healthier options. This is a great recipe for postpartum as it has:
Oats | which are good for milk flow
Honey | which has vitamins, minerals and probiotics
Tahini | which contains calcium, protein, good fat and alkaline mineral content, which aids in weight loss
Cacao | which has antioxidants, phenethylamine (feel good neurotransmitter) and serotonin
He Shou Wu | which is phenomenal for anti-aging and hair loss prevention.
These are also incredibly easy to make and take very little time, which is becoming more precious every day.
POSTPARTUM POWER BOWLS
