PMS + MENOPAUSE | due to phytoestrogens available in licorice root, symptoms of PMS and menopause are greatly reduced. Phytoestrogens produce an estrogenic effect on the body which help to balance hormone levels and ease symptoms of irritability, hot flashes, bloating, and cramps.
WEIGHT LOSS | many recent studies show the reduction of body fat mass, BMI and weight when consuming licorice root frequently.
LIVER | licorice delivers powerful antioxidants to the liver to help maintain the health and function of such a vital organ.
STRESS, FATIGUE + DEPRESSION | glycyrrhizic acid found in licorice root helps maintain proper function of the adrenal glands, which are key in balancing the stress hormone cortisol.
1/8 ground holy basil
1/8 grated fresh ginger
1/8 grated fresh turmeric
1/8 ground licorice root
1/8 ground ashwagandha
PROCESS | placed in a bowl and mixed together well. Add all ingredients to a pot with a steeping sifter inside. Pour hot water over the mixture. Let steep for 10 minutes. Remove herbs and add stevia or honey to taste. Enjoy as a wonderful herbal tea as often as you’d like!
